Intake
South Fork’s intake structure is located on the Clackamas river at river mile 1.5.
The facility includes five raw water pumps and accessory equipment.
The three larger pumps have a capacity of 10 million gallons a day, while the two smaller pumps have a capacity of five million gallons a day.
Raw water from the river is screened to remove leaves and other debris and then pumped through a 27-inch diameter concrete cylinder pipe about 1850 feet to the water treatment plant where it is treated.
